As people wake up and freak out a little (per Twitter and my inbox), I am struck again by how emotional politics in America is right now and how we have some Pavlovian instincts surrounding elections that might not be serving us well right now. As we have been saying for weeks, it was always pretty likely this was going to be "Election Week" not "Election Day." But still, Americans are waking up ticked off that they don't have more certainty about who will be president. And I think because of the shock of the 2016 results, so many more people are tuned into (and drained by) the various scenarios.
