How The U.S. Beat The Netherlands For A Fourth Women’s World Cup Title
No backsies, Geoff.
The Dutch have to feel good about that half. They avoided the early U.S. goal. Sari van Veenendaal had two or three brilliant saves and is clearly locked in. They’ve had opportunities on the counterattack and were able to apply some sustained pressure at the very end. Can I take back my 3-0 prediction?
The U.S. bench is much stronger. Even though the Dutch have had their opportunities, I still like the U.S. chances if this goes scoreless deep into the second half.
