Even though the Texas Senate race has been projected for Ted Cruz, millions of Democratic dollars flowed into Texas this election season. Democratic congressional candidates raised more than three times the amount of contributions than they had in 2014 (at least as of last month) based on analysis we conducted in collaboration with the Center for Public Integrity. Some of the top states that sent money to Texas came from California, New York, Massachusetts and Washington.
