Michigan’s Senate race has been slowly trickling in. With about 30 percent reporting, incumbent Democratic Sen. Debbie Stabenow leads Republican John James 51 percent to 47 percent. Given that Democrat Gretchen Whitmer has already been declared the victor in the gubernatorial race there and leads by 8.5 points, Stabenow will likely win, but it’s interesting that Stabenow might run behind Whitmer in terms of margin.
