What Went Down In The 2018 Midterms

On the question of Trump’s turn towards immigration and identity grievance in the final weeks, we discussed it at length on this week’s Politics Podcast. Generally, the group agreed with what Perry wrote above — this is much less about immigration policy than racialized culture wars, and it’s unclear whether that will be as effective a midterm general election strategy as it was a presidential election primary strategy.
