Ollie, midterm turnout is usually around 40 percent of eligible voters. According to the U.S. Elections Project, national turnout was 40.5 percent in 2002, 41.3 percent in 2006, 41.8 percent in 2010 and 36.7 percent in 2014. That 2014 number was below-average, though — in fact, it was the lowest voter turnout in 70 years.
