What Went Down In The 2018 Midterms

Oklahoma’s 5th District, which has been called for Democrat Kendra Horn, is a district where virtually no outside money was spent on behalf of the Republican incumbent, Steve Russell.

Some more House projections: Republican Reps. Will Hurd in the Texas 23rd and Rodney Davis in the Illinois 13th have both won despite trailing in earlier returns.

According to preliminary exit-poll data of the national electorate, white voters who are 45 and older backed Republicans, along with white men overall. The other demographic groups voted for Democrats. White women are almost evenly split, however, so we could see those results change as more of the vote is tallied.
