What Went Down In The 2018 Midterms
In the New York 19th, Republican Rep. John Faso is currently conceding to Democrat Antonio Delgado, who leads 52 percent to 45 percent. And there’s a surprisingly close race developing in the New York 23rd District, where GOP Rep. Tom Reed leads Democrat Tracy Mitrano just 52 to 48 percent.
In further proof that individual races are idiosyncratic, Republican Will Hurd, a moderate GOP incumbent, will hold on in a Clinton district in Texas 23rd, ABC News projects, although the race will be a little closer than polls showed.
My state of Maryland is having an interesting night. Republican Governor Larry Hogan easily wins re-election, while Republican county executives in Anne Arundel and Howard counties are losing, largely because of early voting margins piled up by their Democratic opponents.
