What Went Down In The 2018 Midterms
Another Georgia race that has received a lot of attention is the contest for the 6th Congressional District, where Republican Karen Handel — you may recall her defeat of Democrat Jon Ossoff in a special election earlier this cycle — is currently leading 51.9 percent to Democrat Lucy McBath’s 48.1 percent.
Andrew Gillum has conceded the governor race in Florida. Big win for Republicans there.
The New Mexico 2nd District was a pure toss-up in our model: Both Yvette Herrell (the Republican) and Xochitl Torres Small (the Democrat) had a 1 in 2 chance. With 62 percent reporting, that “prediction” has proven true: Herrell leads just 51 percent to 49 percent.
