The “Iron Stache” has lost. Republican Bryan Steil will hold Speaker Paul Ryan’s Wisconsin 1st District for Republicans, 54 percent to 43 percent, over Randy Bryce, who became a viral progressive sensation back in 2017.

The Nebraska 2nd District (Omaha) has been called for Republican Rep. Don Bacon. Democrat Kara Eastman was never able to make this a real race, even though other suburban areas have gone strongly blue tonight. Maybe that’s because she was too liberal for this historically Republican district, as we wrote after her surprise primary victory over Brad Ashford.
